David Collins and Justin Brown combined for just 15 points and Virginia Tech (3-0) had five players in double-figures in a 58-76 victory over USF (1-2) in the Air Force Reserves Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

Collins and Michael Durr led the Bulls with 10 points each. Durr and Alexis Yetna led USF with seven rebounds.

Tyrece Radford scored a game high 21 points, Keve Aluma had 12 points, Hunter Catoor scored 11 Cartier Diarra and Cordell Pemsl each had 10 points.

IT WAS OVER WHEN: Cartier Diarra sank two free throws to push the Hokies lead to 21 points at 59-38 with 8:01 left to play.

HE STOLE THE SHOW: Tyrece Radford scored efficiently making 9-of-12 field goals, all but one of his made shots came on the perimeter. He also had three rebounds and a block.

THE STAT DOESN’T LIE: The Virginia Tech bench outscored the Bulls bench 33-13.

THE BOTTOM LINE: USF falls to 1-2 and got a good glimpse of how much work they have to do if they hope to earn a NCAA Tournament bid. The Bulls will return to Tampa to face Florida Gulf Coast Wednesday in Yuengling Center.
