End of season Q&A with Brian Gregory part II
On Thursday, one week after the college basketball season ended prematurely, BullsInsider.com spoke one-on-one with USF Bulls men’s basketball head coach Brian Gregory to get his thoughts on a variety of topics.
In part two of our conversation Gregory talks about the impact of losing Alexis Yetna to injury, Mayan Kiir leaving the program, players playing different positions and if he was surprised The American all-conference teams did not include two of his starters.
BullsInsider: Going back to the preseason, I know you were very optimistic of your team's prospects in 2019-20. But when Alexis Yetna went down and Mayan Kiir left the program, things became much more difficult for your team especially since The American was going to have a higher talent level than last season. So, when you keep all this in mind, do you see this past season as one that perhaps exceeded your own expectations?
BG: I think again, the challenge that we faced with the two guys that we lost really put us in difficult a situation, position wise, schematically and system-wise. It impacted every player.
