Bulls offer jumbo athlete from Largo

Largo (Fla.) quarterback Isaiah Bellamy picked up his first offer from South Florida. Bellamy stars at both quarterback and defensive end for his high school showing off his versatility.

"It felt great to get my first offer and especially great because it came from USF," Bellamy said. "My coach told about the offer today."

Bellamy has visited South Florida before.

"When I've been up to USF before I really liked it," he said.

Plenty of other programs are in play for Bellamy as well with some schools recruiting him on the defensive side of the ball.

"I'm hearing from Virginia Tech, UCF and Oregon State," he said. "I'm being recruited by schools as a quarterback or a defensive end."

As far as a personal preference on position goes, Bellamy says he will play anywhere.

"I just will play where ever my coach puts me," he said. "I'm gonna give it all I've got. As a quarterback I think I'm more of a Cam Newton because of my body size and my arm."

Bellamy threw for 833 yards and six touchdowns and also had a sack as a defensive end.
