Bulls land in-state ATH as commit #4

Belle Glades (Fla.) Glades Day School athlete Gerald Jackson had been tweeting his love for South Florida for the last few days posing in different Bulls gear and on Friday he made things official verbally committing to the South Florida coaching staff.

Jackson committed to play cornerback for the Bulls.

"I felt at home and with this new coaching staff everything is rebuilding to be something great at South Florida. Coach (Sean) Cronin and coach (Charlie) Strong are great guys and they recruit the best of players. That is the type of atmosphere I would love to be around and compete everyday to get better and perfect craft to win and be at the top," he said.

Cronin was the point man in Jackson's recruitment and stayed on the talented athlete on a daily basis showing the Bulls interest.

"Coach Cronin and I talk every other day at least," he said. "It is a great relationship."

The new approach by coach Strong and his staff also caught the attention of Jackson's parents.

"My family are happy about my decision because of the great leadership the organization has and they feel like I will do great things at South Florida," Jackson said. "It feels great for me to be a part of this as well."

Jackson is the second cornerback commit in less than 24 hours for the Bulls joining Jajuan Cherry.
