Miami (Fla.) Jackson quarterback Quinton Flowers has committed to USF - becoming the 18th commitment of the 2014 class. Runningthebulls.com had the breaking story.
"I just committed to the University of South Florida," he told Runningthebulls.
The three-star athlete is expected to come in to USF as a quarterback. Flowers has been vocal about wanting to play quarterback, and the Bulls got their man.
"They're really loving me," Flowers said in a recent interview with Kynon Codrington. "They've always been talking to me. Me and Coach Lockette have always had a great relationship."
Flowers is a dual threat quarterback that will bring an added dimension to the USF offense. He's carried the ball 61 times for 475 yards and eight touchdowns through six games this season.
"I'm just another one of those kid that's just trying to get out on the field, trying to be an impact player, and just help the team. It's not all about stats. It's about playing for the team, playing for the school, and being on a winning team."
Flowers has kept USF consistent amongst his favorite schools for a few months, and pulled the trigger today. Flowers chose USF over Alabama, Nebraska, Florida, Clemson, TCU, West Virginia, and more.
