South Florida cornerbacks coach Matt Birkett is no longer with the program. Birkett was hired after four seasons at James Madison where he also coached cornerbacks and he had a long stint as the defensive backs coach at Maine prior to that.

His departure means head coach Alex Golesh will be looking to fill the second position on his staff this offseason after replacing tight ends coach Clay Patterson who left to become the offensive coordinator at Akron earlier in the week.
