For Cameron Fraser, it's all about the connection.
Fraser, a 6-4, 290 senior offensive tackle from Phenix City, Alabama, committed to USF in June - when Skip Holtz was the coach.
Fraser established a bond with Holtz and wants to see if he gets the same feeling with the new staff.
"Yeah I'm excited about my visit," Fraser said. "I'm ready to meet the new coaching staff and see how everything goes down there."
"I'm anxious to see if it's still a good fit for me. I talked to him December 18 and I've been talking to Coach (Larry) Scott and Coach (Nick) Sheridan. I'm looking forward to spending time with them and Coach (Willie) Taggart."
Fraser has family in the Tampa Bay area, and said the environment at South Florida is perfect for him.
"I love the environment. I get to play in an NFL stadium," Fraser said. "I have a lot of family down there so I have a great support group."
After the Jan. 11-13 visit to USF, Fraser will take two more official visits - one to Louisville Jan. 18 and one to UAB Jan. 25.
"I just need to see and interact with Coach Taggart to find out what kind of coach he is, what kind of person he is," Fraser said. "I am looking forward to meeting him."
