Former West Florida defensive tackle Traevon Mitchell committed to South Florida on Tuesday. After spending two years at Chowan University, Mitchell played this past season in Pensacola, where he racked up 7.5 sacks and 17.5 TFLs.

He will help replace Bernard Gooden who left the Bulls program this spring as a versatile defensive lineman who can rush the passer.
