USF wins second Big East game

TAMPA -- After a ten-game losing streak, the USF Bulls finally got back on the winning side in Big East play, knocking off DePaul 83-73 at the SunDome.
USF led at the half 37-33 and withstood a Blue Demon rally in the second half to pick up its first victory since a 61-58 win over Georgetown January 19.
The win ties the Bulls (11-17, 2-14)with DePaul (11-18, 2-14) for last in the Big East, one game behind Seton Hall.
USF was led by Toarlyn Fitzpatrick with 19 points.Victor Rudd and Anthony Collins added 16 points each as the Bulls snapped a 10-game losing streak.
USF will close out its home schedule Wednesday against Connecticut before facing Cincinnati on the road to end the regular season March 9.
