USF Offers 2019 In-State Hybrid Forward

South Florida continues to pursue front court help in the class of 2019.

The latest to join the offer list is Victory Rock Prep (Bradenton, Fla.) hybrid forward Kuany Kuany, who picked up a scholarship from the Bulls on Tuesday evening when USF assistant coach Tom Herrion called Victory Rock Prep head coach Loren Jackson to make the offer. Kuany made the announcement via his Twitter account.

Kuany also holds offers from DePaul, Florida State and Georgia.

RunningTheBulls.com has seen Kuany at least a half-dozen times between games with Victory Rock Prep and his travel team Florida Sons. At 6-foot-10, 200-pounds Kuany has the shooting skills and athleticism to play on the wing and the height and length to play power forward.

Kuany has a nice pull-up mid-range jumper and can knock down open shots beyond the arc when open. He runs well, has good hands, passes the ball well – including while on the move – and a nice feel for the game. Kuany is capable of grabbing a defensive rebound and starting the break.

Last season we watched Kuany go for 19 points (7-of-11 field goals, 3-of-4 beyond the arc), six rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block against a Tennessee Prep team that had four players on its roster listed between 6-foot-8 and 7-foot-2.

Wing T.J. Lang and big man Nikola Scekic will graduate after next season. Barring any roster attrition, the Bulls will only have two scholarships available in the 2019 class.

There is scant recent highlight video of Kuany but you can watch a few possessions that Hoop MIA Tweeted in January. In this video you see Kuany, No. 13, and his Victory Rock teammates battling No. 2 ranked University School (Fort Lauderdale).
