South Florida became the second FBS school to offer two-star Dixie Hollins (Fla.) quarterback Dekovin Cann Jr. Cann picked up his Bulls offer on Monday from quarterbacks coach Shaun King. The local quarterback said the Bulls are his top school after the offer.

"I really like the offer. I took a couple of unofficial visits and was hooked on USF. I'm still looking at different schools but USF is definitely my top choice," Cann said.

Coach King has been in contact with Cann throughout the year and extended the offer on Monday much to the delight of Cann.

"Coach King let me know about the offer. He said it was well deserved," Cann said.

Cann said he plans to visit USF a couple of times this summer and he wants to watch fall practice as well because he enjoys Willie Taggart's offense so much.

"I'm going back up there in the summer I believe, but I'll go back up there as soon as I can," he said. "I excited for this spring and fall. I love the USF offense and I absolutely love the tempo they play at."

USF may open the floodgate for offers for Cann because he says many schools have been keeping an eye on him prior to the Bulls pulling the trigger.

"I'm hearing from a lot of schools, Marshall, Western Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, FIU, FAU and Iowa State," Cann said.

Cann is hoping for a better senior season after his team struggled going 1-10 as a junior.
