South Florida picked up a huge commitment three-star in-state offensive lineman Billy Atterbury. Atterbury from Central Catholic announced his decision on Twitter just prior to the Bulls game with UConn Friday evening.
I'm very happy to say that I have verbally committed to the University of South Florida #GoBulls @USFFootball @USFBulls_Rivals- Billy Atterbury (@billyatterbury) September 19, 2014
Atterbury said that on his birthday, the 19th he felt like it was finally time to commit to the Bulls who had been his leader for quite some time.
"USF feels like family and I love the staff, the players and the vibe you get on campus there," Atterbury told RTBs. "My family is overjoyed. It has been a long process and they are happy for me and happy they will be able to see me play."
Cincinnati, Syracuse and UCF were also in the mix for Atterbury's commitment at one point. When asked if he will take anymore visits, Atterbury said he is just enjoying the moment.
"It's my birthday and I'm committed," he said. "That is all I'm worrying about right now."
Atterbury is the second offensive line commit for the Bulls for 2015 and the 11th overall.
