Twitter leads to S&C resignation

South Florida strength and conditioning coach Hans Straub is now unemployed over a tweet about former Bulls defensive lineman Aaron Lynch. Lynch was picked by the San Francisco 49ers in the fifth round of the draft on Saturday.

Straub resigned from South Florida after a brief suspension by the university after a negative tweet about Lynch's selection.

"Thought an organization with 5 Super Bowl titles would have a stricter draft criteria. Clearly, integrity & character are not a priority,"

Bulls head coach Willie Taggart weighed in on the matter Tuesday during the AAC football teleconference.

"I'm very disappointed in the tweet that you are talking about. Hans knows how disappointed I am," Taggart said.

Taggart went on to say that he hopes Lynch does well in the NFL.

"I was really excited for him," Taggart said of the selection of Lynch. "It is a dream come true for him."

San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh is a close personal friend of Taggart's complicating the situation. All those events combined leading to the departure of Straub Tuesday afternoon.
