Enfield lands floor general to direct Dunk City

MORE: Class of 2014 Rivals150

Last spring, Andy Enfield and Florida Gulf Coast gained a lot of fans as Dunk City emerged and made a run in the NCAA Tournament. By hiring Enfield, USC hoped to move that style out West.

Wednesday afternoon, Enfield and the Trojans landed the player that they designated early as the guy they wanted to hand over the keys to, Jordan McLaughlin.

A 5-foot-11 point guard from Etiwanda (Calif.) High, McLaughlin is the No. 43 player in the 2014 Rivals150 and looks to be an ideal fit for Enfield's program.

Quick and elusive off the dribble, McLaughlin is a sometimes flashy scorer and playmaker who plays in attack mode. He shoots well, gets to the rim and is happy playing the roll of scorer. Or, he is just as happy finding others and running the offense.

His quickness should allow for him to become a high end defender and his body control and ability to bounce off contact will allow him to finish in the lane during Pac-12 play.

A four-star prospect, McLaughlin is the second member of the 2014 Rivals150 to pick the Trojans. He joins four-star big man Malik Price-Martin who currently ranks No. 99 nationally.
