South Florida head football coach Willie Taggart was multi-tasking this week.

Taggart was in Miami to meet with four-star OL recruit Denver Kirkland at Miami Booker T. Washington. Taggart spent quite a lot of time with the prospect, who seemed to like Taggart's 'sense of humor' - according to Washington head coach Tim 'Ice' Harris.

Taggart also took a moment to talk to Harris about his QB son - Treon Harris, a top-rated 2014 prospect.

"He offered Treon a chance to play at USF," Harris said. " We're excited as a family overall - He's doing the things he has to do to have a chance to go through the college experience."

The 5-foot-11, 180 pound four-star QB has led the Tornados to a 25-3 record in two seasons. Included in that are two 4A state championship game appearances - with a win over Jacksonville (Fla.) Bolles 35-7 in 2012.

Treon Harris will not attend junior day at USF - scheduled for February 17 - because of a track commitment.

"We are in the middle of track and Treon runs track for us," said Harris, who also coaches the boys track team. "There's a few things our kids will miss out on because of track events."
