The Targets
Auggie Sanchez

6-foot-2 | 215 | Northeast (St. Petersburg, Fla) | LB/DE

The Buzz: Even though USF has not offered to the defensive end, Sanchez still has a great deal of interest in the program. Sanchez, whose brother Armando played three years for the Bulls, has received offers from Florida International, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, South Alabama, and Youngstown State. The two-star recruit, who transitioned from defensive end to linebacker his senior year, had 18.5 sacks and 23 tackles for loss his junior year on the defensive line. Currently, Sanchez does not have any other official visits scheduled. If the Bulls do offer to Sanchez, he could help fill the void left by Cory Grissom in 2013

Kyle Schafenacker
6-foot-4 | 285 | St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) | OL

The Buzz: Although he is committed to Connecticut, Schafenacker is still very much on the fence and is gettable for the Bulls. The three-star offensive lineman committed to Connecticut in July before his senior year. Schafenacker will be making his official visit this Friday, before visiting Connecticut on January 25th. According to the St. Thomas Aquinas product, the Bulls and Huskies are the top two programs on his list and it will go down to his official visits. According to Schafenacker, Willie Taggart and the Bulls have an advantage because the program is closer to home.

Vontarius West

6-foot-0 | 180 | Bartow (Bartow, Fla.) | CB

The Buzz: Cornerback may have been the weakest group for the Bulls in 2012. Picking up three-star cornerback Vontarius West would be a nice addition for USF and Willie Taggart. The Bartow High School product has been busy this month, already visiting Florida International last week and has plans to visit Minnesota on the 25th. It seems that West has whittled his list of schools down to three, including USF with FIU and Minnesota. The Bulls will have an opportunity to try to woo the Bartow native with their newly hired staff with NFL experience, defensive coordinator Chuck Bresnahan and assistant coach Ron Cooper.

Eric Mayes

6-foot-4 | 240| Booker (Sarasota, Fla.) | DE

The Buzz: The Bulls host an important recruit in Eric Mayes this weekend. The three-star recruit has received 22 offers and has been linked to 25 schools in the past year. Mayes, who was recruited heavily by Kentucky before the staff changes, has seen interest in him pick up over the past few weeks. The defensive end is being pursued heavily by and USF. After visiting the Bulls, Mayes will take two more visits before making his commitment, but has yet to decide where he will visit.

Schools in the mix: West Virginia, Missouri, Mississippi State, USF

Mike Love

6-foot-3 | 210| Countryside (Clearwater, Fla.)| DE

The Buzz: A local product, Mike Love would be a nice addition to the roster for Willie Taggart and the Bulls. Love, the 35th ranked weakside defensive end in the state Florida by Rivals.com, has garnered a great deal of interest from many schools. The Countryside High School product has picked up 23 offers. Love will visit USF this weekend before going to visit Nebraska on January 25th. The Clearwater native also visited Marshall in December. Love racked up 56 total tackles, 14.5 sacks and forced three fumbles for Countryside High School last year.

Schools in the mix: Arizona, USF, Nebraska, N.C. State

Hassan Childs

6-foot-1 | 170 | Osceola (Kissimmee, Fla.)| DB

The Buzz: Childs visits USF this weekend without an offer from the Bulls. The Kissimmee native has received offers several schools, including North Carolina State (where he was previously committed. Despite not receiving an offer, it has been reported that Childs has high interest in the Bulls. The three-star cornerback had 30 total tackles and eight interceptions last season for Osceola High School. The cornerback could be a good addition for Willie Taggart and the Bulls, if they decide to offer.

Schools in the mix: USF, N.C. State, UCF, Indiana

Childs excited to visit

Jeremi Hall

6-foot-4 | 335 | Tri-Cities (East Point, Ga.) | OG

The Buzz: Hall committed to Georgia Tech but is taking a visit to explore his options. He's a teammate of Threatt's and was rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com. He has great footwork for his size, and handles one-on-one drills very well. He played strong-side guard in high school. Hall would be a very formidable addition to the OL class that seems to be shaping up very nicely.
