Top target Jones attends second Blackout
The last time Rivals100 linebacker Jarvis Jones visited the University of Georgia for a football game, it was the Blackout in 2007. He returned this weekend for Blackout 2008. The results were not the same, but he still enjoyed his time in Athens.
"The atmosphere was great," said Jones. "The fans, the audience, and everything was great."
The 6-foot-3, 228 pound hard hitting backer out of Columbus (GA) Carver did not get there as early as he would have liked, but he still had a chance to talk with three Bulldog coaches.
"I spoke to Coach [Mark] Richt, Coach [John] Lilly, and Coach [John] Jancek. They were just able to say that they were glad to have me at the game and not much more because I was late getting there."
The Dawgs fell to no. 8 Alabama 41-30, so did the loss change his interest in the home state school?
"No, teams are going to their ups and downs, so them losing is not a problem," explained the number 43 player in the country. "I wish they would have won, but everybody has those kind of days."
