Hall's star rises

On a whim, Adam Hall flew west for the University of Southern California's Rising Stars Camp.

By Thursday evening the 6-foot-4, 195-pound four-star athlete from Tucson (Arizona) Palo Verde Magnet had experienced two campuses, a giant bass drum, five-star competition and a gut feeling. He also bought a hat.

Even though he showed off his talents playing both offense and defense for the USC coaching staff, it was Hall's demeanor that impressed head coach Pete Carroll and staff enough to be invited into the coaches' office on Thursday afternoon.
