Five-star WR highly interested in Aggies

The new Texas A&M coaching staff under former Green Bay Packer head coach Mike Sherman has cast its net far and wide beyond the state of Texas in a search for talent to upgrade the Aggie roster. It's a non-traditional approach for A&M as offers have been extended to prospects from California to South Carolina, even for some that are in the class of 2010.

However, the A&M staff didn't even have to go looking for what should be one of the top-rated prospects on their board.

Five-star Los Angeles (CA) Cathedral wide receiver Randall Carroll has family that lives in Texas who just happen to be Texas A&M fans.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound five-star prospect is committed to USC, but is also considering offers from Texas A&M, Arizona, UCLA and Florida State.
