Georgia's going back into Tucker
Tucker High School produces many division one athletes year in and year out and Drayton Calhoun is one to watch in 2009. He is a versatile athlete that is reeling in some impressive offers and he picked up three new ones within the last couple of weeks.
"My new offers are from Vanderbilt, Alabama, and now Georgia," said Calhoun. "Vanderbilt offered a couple of weeks ago, Alabama offered when I visited them about a week ago, and Georgia just sent me the offer in the mail."
The in-state offer was not a surprise to the 6-foot-0, 175-pound speedster because Georgia informed Tucker's Head Coach Franklin Stephens about it before signing day.
"Coach Stephens told me that Georgia stopped by and they told him they were going to offer. I did not know when it was going to come, but I was expecting it."
Calhoun knows a lot about the University of Georgia. He has been there a few times and he stays in touch with a current starting corner in Athens that came through Tucker as well.
