South Georgia junior OL visits UGA
Strong offensive tackles are always wanted in a recruiting class and the Bulldogs are getting an early jump on one out of South Georgia. 2009 OL Hunter Poole traveled up to Athens for the Auburn game and he left impressed.
"It was my second time to Georgia and the crowd was ecstatic this time," said Poole. "They showed up in black, they were really into the game and you can tell Georgia has some very devoted fans supporting them."
"It was cool to be there and see everything that game. The atmosphere was pretty amazing. I had a great time."
The big junior offensive tackle out of Thomasville was able to speak with three of the Georgia coaches before the game.
"I talked to Coach [Mike] Bobo, Coach [Stacey] Searels and Coach [Mark] Richt when I was there and they were all really nice. They showed the most love out of all the schools that I have been to."
Poole especially liked the way Coach Richt handled his time in Athens.
"He just makes himself available and that is impressive," he said. "I did not get to talk with Coach [Nick] Saban when I visited Alabama because he was busy, so I was just impressed with how Coach Richt took the time to talk with me."
