Omaha Westside's Okafor a rising star

OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha (Neb.) Westside running back Collins Okafor has only played one season of varsity football, but in less than a year, the Nebraska commit has taken the Warriors to places they haven't been in quite some time.

Okafor led Class A in rushing with over 1865 yards and 16 touchdowns to set a new Westside school record in 2006. The strong season by Okafor also put the Warriors in their first state title game since 1982, capping off a 12-1 season for head coach Marty Kauffman.

When Kauffman thinks about how much life has changed for Okafor in the last few months, he just smiles.
