In-State RB visits UGA for Junior Day

Savannah (Ga.) - Jenkins High School running back Franklin Green traveled up to Athens Saturday to take part in Georgia's Junior Day. This was Green's first visit to the University of Georgia and he saw everything he thought he would see. He liked what he saw at Georgia.

"I liked Georgia, it was cool," said Green. "It was my first time there and I got to see the campus, the stadium, the weight room, and I learned about they do things there."

"I also learned about the academic program they have there, how the coaches are, and all that too."

Green spent a lot of time with the running back coach at Georgia.

"I talked to a couple different coaches, but I talked the most with Coach Tony Ball. Coach Ball is a real cool coach and he is a real nice guy. He talked to me about me as a player and how he is going to come down to see me in the spring. He seemed real interested in me."

The Bulldogs have shown some interest, but Green said they have not offered yet.

"No, Georgia didn't offer me yet," he said. "The only offer I know of is from Rutgers, but my coach says some of the other schools have offered too. I am sure which ones."
