Inside the Fort: Weatherd commitment firm, more

There was just one thing left for Tennessee commitment Chris Weatherd need to see before he would officially end his recruiting process.

He got Sunday as Weatherd was leaving Knoxville after weekend official visit on Rocky Top. He saw his mother happy.

"Seeing my mom happy, that was the most important thing," Weatherd said of how he knew Tennessee would officially be the place. "My mom has got to be happy wherever I go."

2015 DEFENSIVE END RECEIVES 100 LETTERS

Tennessee is spending some serious money on postage these days. Junior defensive end Russell Ude is the latest prospect to receive a mailing barrage from Vol coaches.

The 6-foot-3, 251-pound defensive lineman received 100 letters from Tennessee Saturday and was certainly surprised by all the attention considering Tennessee has yet to offer.

JUNIOR ATHLETE HAS 'EXCITING' VISIT

Exciting may be the best word to describe Tennessee's 31-point, turnover induced outburst in the first half of the Vols' 52-20 win over Western Kentucky Saturday.

And that's exactly how 2015 wide receiver Carl Tucker Jr. described the game and his first ever visit to Knoxville to watch the Vols pound the Hilltoppers.

MAIL TIME

1. If we do not get a JUCO OL, such as Blair, etc., do we push hard for another high-school O-Lineman such as Bookser, Ruble or even Herr? If so, who is highest on the list?

2. Do we take another RB in this class? More specifically a JUCO guy? Depth will be an issue next year, you have Lane then a bunch of unproven guys and freshman (one coming off shoulder surgery).
