RTB.com has confirmed that Immokalee High School defensive tackle Deadrin Senat has officially signed his letter of intent to play for the University of South Florida today.
Senat was a late night surprise for the Bulls, verbally committing to USF late in the evening on January 28th, three weeks after his official visit to Tampa. A Rivals.com three-star recruit, Senat chose the Bulls after receiving offers from 28 schools, most notably Arkansas, South Carolina, Tennessee and Miami. The 6-foot-1, 311-pound, Immokalee product took official visits to USF, N.C. State and South Carolina.
The addition of Senat makes the Bulls very strong up front defensively, something that USF struggled with in 2012, with the exception of Cory Grissom. The Florida native is the 44th ranked defensive tackle in the nation and 79th ranked player in the sate of Florida by Rivals.com. Going into next year, expect Senat to compete for one of the starting positions of the defensive line.
