Practice Notes: Dawgs preparing for Auburn
Georgia coach Mark Richt said Sunday he hoped that running back Thomas Brown's broken left clavicle would be healed enough for him to play in Saturday's huge SEC game against Auburn.
Monday, Brown didn't sound all that sure that he would.
"It's still kind of up and open. We'll see how it goes throughout the week," he said. "We'll see how much contact they let me get and by Thursday try to make a decision."
Brown has not played since the first half of Georgia's loss to Tennessee after suffering the initial injury the week before against Ole Miss.
The original prognosis was for Brown to be out between four to six weeks. Saturday will be six weeks.
However, that still may not be enough time.
